Had Santa brought us presents???????..........

That is the first sound at 6:30 this morning from two excited girls. They had slept in while their daddy and I wrapped presents untill 3:30 am, I was truly hoping for about 2 hours more sleep but when you hear the happy giggles and paper being ripped, you have to go have a look.. The older kids came in later from visiting with their dad and we did it all over again. Even though we are quite numb from non-sleep, and the relentless picking up, we have to sit back and be proud of our family. The holidays are coming to a
close, the kids are all happy. It's been a good year. A very good year.

To the Left:
This shot is of the tree before it was ransacked.

Marlee checking out the presents...She had a wonderful day.

It's a Very Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas . Hope to hear that everyone has had an enjoyable holiday. We are wrapping up on this festive and joyous occasion, and ready to put the house back together. Everyone has enjoyed themselves. Here are some snap-shots of our family. Hope you enjoy. Check back as there will more in the days to come. God Bless.

The first image is of our littlest member of the Deems Family, Baby Paul, my cousin Tanya's little boy. He just turned 1 a couple days ago, so his aunt Kathy felt he needed a John Deer. He got one. And I think He will like it. This is on my granddaddys back porch , Paul is surrounded by his Uncle Bee-Bo(Bryan) Katie, Tamara, his mom Tanya, as well as others. Happy Birthday Paul! and Merry Christmas!

This picture is of one of Bryan and Marlas daughters

Gettin' your Goat!

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? I don't know, so I thought I would look it up.. For someone to "get your goat"......hmmm we have alot of "old sayings" that fit right into our lives, but do we ever sit and wonder exactly what they mean. This one came to mind because of the gentleman (goat) in the neighbors back yard. The more I thought about it, the more I realized I had no idea what it meant. SOOOOOO I looked it up. The power of the internet is simply amazing, and here is what I came up with.
This apparently refers to an old English (Welsh?) belief that keeping a goat in the barn would have a calming effect on the cows, hence producing more milk. When one wanted to antagonize/terrorize one's enemy, you would abscond with their goat rendering their milk cows less- to non-productive.
This explains the expression in modern America: "Don't tell people where your goat is tied up --- then they can never get your goat". Meaning if another doesn't know your weakness s/he can't use them against you. (taken from web site
www.rootsweb.com/genepool/sayings.htm , listed as Ye Old English Sayings if the link does not work.... Enough for now, My brain hurts.....

The Christmas Tree....a thing of wonder!

Ok this year we went real. In real, I mean, you-go-to-the-woods and chop it down yourself kind. And in our case, we called the relatives and asked to get one off of their property in Kingston. It was Hilarious. Both LaWayne and I had become so very comfortable in bringing in the artifical one that we had forgotton just how much went into the hunt, select, chop and load procedure. After about an good hour of riding around and around the property, we selected a nice one, we were down-right "giddy" with excitement.. as my hubby will do anything for a chance to crank up the 'ole chain-saw. Brings out the caveman in him. So we cut down this 15 footer... and throw it on top of the LandRover,, yes mame, I said on top the Landrover,, Don't worry about that paint, or scratchs. Take one for the team. I bet we tied a hundred yards of string, and still had to stop 3 times on the way home, which is only 15 min from here. But,, we got that bad boy in and its lookin' sharp. I will tell ya what,,, I have never seen a man so proud to be bringing in the kill, (the tree) as we got a many looks with that tree on top our car. Ok,, we might do it again next yr. As long as I can get this rash healed off my hands. Merry Christmas.

Bass Pro SHop.... Heaven on earth.

And this both myself and LaWayne agree on.. Kelsey and Sarah-Kate with the shark.

My Fav Picture.

This is the my most favorite picture. The lighting was right, she was doing what she does best,, climbing.. and most of all..... FLIP FLOPS! She is a flip-flop queen. She can outrun anyone in those wonderful flip-flops.

Puddle Jumping.

Mo-Mo in the puddle waiting on her sisters and brother to get off the bus one evening last spring.

Fishing...............need I say more?

I love to fish. I do dream of one day owning my own boat, and spending even more of my already wonderful summers, springs, and everything in between at the lake. I love to fish. I am a mother of 4 very busy children, and when I go fishing, its just me and the fish!.. I love it. I love it like my husband loves hunting, so I do have some understanding of his obsession. And he has to understand my wanting to go. My family joins me very often, and watching a child learn to bait their own hook, cast and reel in a fish is one of the most awesome things a parent can watch. We also catch up on whats up in their lives, and get a great deal of laughs, esp when I think I have to walk down in the lake to get a better grip on Charlie , our local snapping turtle, who loves to steal bait, bobbers, and drive me NUTS! This crappie caught in our pond behind the house, measured at 16 1/2 inches, weighed little over 3 lbs. I love to fish.

Ms. Weenie Girl.

This is Ms. Weenie. She is mom's constant companion, shown here on her birthday, Feb 14, 2005, and she turned 3 human yrs old. She is a valentine baby, and a love-muffin at that. We are now expecting babies with her, due on or around Jan 11, 2006. Lets keep our fingers crossed, and keep her in your prayers, as she is already blossoming out, (she can't even jump on the love seat)! We will keep everyone posted.

Merry Christmas!

Is that cat-nip I see in my stocking? Mr. Jingles shown visiting mommy on her desk while she tries to fiqure out the "Blog" thing. He was too cute so she thought a quick picture was in order. Now only wishes she used it for her christmas cards, since all the kids were too busy to get together for a family photo.. Oh well, Maybe next year! Merry Christmas, Mr. Jingles. Welcome to our family.

Marlee

This is our baby. This is the first and only picture of her with Santa as she would normally hide behind her mommy or daddy. She is a silly girl. A very pretty silly girl.
